General Impressions
Port Dover is a lovely small beach town. The town is quite small, quiet, and beautiful. It has a rich history of fishing unsurprisingly, and pottery surprisingly.
It’s about an hour’s drive from Hamilton. It would be a good neighborhood to raise a family.
The drive through Highway 6 offers a great view of southern Ontario.
The Beach And Lighthouse
I visited Port Dover on a rainy day; the view of the lake and beach should be much better on a sunny day.
Port Dover Harbour Museum
Port Dover has a cute little Museum and it’s a great place to learn about the town’s rich history.
Who thought that Port Dover once had a booming business of exporting alcohol to the U.S.(Erie, Pennsylvania)? 😜
